Dave Saunders is the principle character of the story, the Theme of the Story is â€Å"Looking for Maturity, Respect and Power†. He is sick of been treated as a youngster, needs to go through his cash to anything he desires, since his mother holds his cash, so he simply needs to demonstrate to the others that he is a Man. One day he chose to go the neighborhood store to purchase a weapon, which is the store of Mistah Joe, he approach Joe for an index, when he recovers the inventory he returned home, his mother sees the list, and she doesn’t let him to purchase, however after he reveals to her that the house needs a firearm and furthermore that he’s going to give the weapon to his father, she gives $2 for him to get it. Following day he goes to Mistah Joe store to purchase the firearm, in the wake of getting it he goes to the field to respect the gun. Following day of work, his is eager to the point that now his has a firearm, he takes jenny the donkey and goes fa r away, so he can test the weapon, however unintentionally he killed jenny.
